Biography

Nabil attended California Institute of the Arts in 1981 and studied filmmaking extensively. His film collaboration thesis ”Nomad's land” won the Kaleidoscope 1984 - Best Audience award, in Stockholm. Nabil became a cinematographer and a documentary filmmaker in the early stage of his career that led to a lot of traveling in the States, Europe and the Middle East. In 1990, Nabil was the cinematographer and editor of a mini feature film, "Maggie May" that received the "Kodak Prix De Tournage" in Avignon, France. Film and Video editing were always dominant in Nabil's carrier. Throughout the years, he has edited many films, documentaries and commercials. Since 1993, with the boom of digital editing technology, Nabil has edited many award winning videos, from artists such as Sting, Britney Spears, Beyonce Santana, Jewel and the Roots. Rihanna's "Umbrella" won the MTV 2007 VMA "Best Video of the Year". "Piece of Me" for Britney Spears, won 3 VMA MTV 2008 awards, including "Best Video of the Year".
