MUREX FILMS & EDITORIAL, a post-production studio created by editors Nabil Mehchi and Valentina Ganeva in Los Angeles, is known for editing over 30 #1 music video hits on MTV. “A” list, Director Chris Applebaum, asked ad agency Mendelsohn Zien to hire Editor Nabil Mehchi, consistently the editor of choice, to edit the now famous sexy Carl’s Jr. commercial “Paris”. It features Paris Hilton, scantily clad in a Gucci bathing suit, washing her Bentley while munching on a Carl’s Jr. burger. The director/editor team caused a worldwide sensation as a result of their collaboration on “Paris”. Another Applebaum/Mehchi collaboration is the music video “Umbrella”, featuring Rihanna & Jay Z. It quickly became a #1 music video on MTV’s TRL and # 1 on Apple’s iTunes store.The stunning video was downloaded over 5 million times in the first few days of its release and received 4 nominations for the MTV VMA Awards. Also, it won two MTV VMA Awards: Best Video of the Year and Monster Single of the Year in 2007. In 2008 there were another 3 MTV VMA Awards for Murex Films, Britney Spears "Pieces Of Me", directed by Wayne Isham and edited by Nabil Mehchi, won Best Video Of The Year, Best Female Video and Best Pop Video. Murex Films & Editorial has over 30 # 1 music video hits worldwide with artists such as Rihanna, Beyonce, Britney Spears, Sting, Usher, Santana, Hillary Duff, Jewel, Kid Rock, Fountains of Wayne, The Roots, Ice T, Keith Urban, Mandy Moore, & Toni Braxton. The Fountains of Wayne's video, “Stacy’s Mom, edited by Nabil Mehchi, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. “SOS”, Mehchi’s previous video with Rihanna, was awarded Best R & B Video by MTV Europe 2006, twice nominated at the MTV VMA’s for Best New Artist & Viewers Choice and won Best International Artist 2006 by 'Much Music' in Canada. 

Valentina Ganeva’s editorial highlights stand out with the music video editing of Elliot Smith, "Son Of Sam", commercials for the EPA campaign of 'Energy Star', directed by Danny Ducovny and her work with the founding member of DEVO, director Gerald V. Casale. Valentina and Gerald collaborated on numerous commercials, music videos and three full length DVD’s: DEVO Live for RHINO, DEV2.0 for DISNEY and DEVO Live in London for Warner Brothers Records.

In the last few years, the editing team moved on to producing and directing. Valentina has produced, directed and edited 3 music videos for the LA based band "Loney Stoney". Currently, Valentina is directing a feature-length documentary about R. M. Schindler, one of the most prominent figures of  Modern Architecture in California. Nabil has been producing, directing and editing various works in the Mena region and US.
